Advancing our Partnership with AWS
< At Vonage, we’re all about partnerships. We focus on our relationship with all of our partners, and we work tirelessly to ensure that we’re partnering with innovative, powerful brands that bring serious value to our customers. One of our most exciting partnerships is our longstanding relationship with Amazon Corporate, as an AWS Technology Partner. For those that don’t know, Amazon Partner Network Technology Partners, like Vonage, provide customers with software solutions that are either hosted on, or integrated with, the AWS platform.
Recently, we’ve deepened this relationship with AWS when we earned the title of Advanced Tier Technology Partner. No small feat, earning the Advanced Tier recognition involved a long process of in-depth architectural reviews, technical validation, customer testimonials, and more. This classification, coupled with the launch of Vonage Business Cloud, architectured on an agile, microservices platform, earlier this year, validates and reinforces our commitment to providing a best-in-class communications experience to our business customers, and to driving better business outcomes.
We’re excited about this classification not only because it’s a reflection of the level of dedication and effort that we put into all of our partnerships, but also because of all the possibilities ahead. Recently, we announced that Nexmo, the Vonage API Platform, has partnered with AI vendors like AWS to provide developer tools to easily build real-time enterprise intelligence engagements. Through this partnership, we’re working with Amazon Lex to empower conversational bots. Amazon Lex provides the advanced deep learning functionalities of automatic speech recognition (ASR) for converting speech to text and Natural Language Understanding (NLU) to recognize the intent of the text. With Amazon Lex, the same deep learning technologies that power Amazon Alexa are now available to any developer, enabling users to quickly and easily build sophisticated, natural language conversational bots (“chatbots”), using the Nexmo Voice API.
