Our hearts go out to those around the country suffering through this week’s winter storm. As we watch the countless stories unfold, we recognize and gain inspiration from the efforts of charitable organizations such as the American Red Cross, who position themselves in community after community even before the storms. And they remain at work at this very hour, providing meals and shelter, and helping families make it through hardships.
For the Vonage Business family, this week is a reminder of why we chose to become a charitable partner with the American Red Cross for the last three months, pledging 5% of our new customers’ first month service charges specifically to support their efforts in disaster relief. We’re pleased that this gift will enable the Red Cross to prepare for and provide shelter, food, emotional support and other assistance in response to disasters at home and around the world.
This support of Red Cross Disaster Relief continues throughout the month of January. And like other companies, we know we can do more. In fact, our employees plan to participate in select Red Cross programs this month to further support humanitarian efforts.
